I love telling kids about Christian Missionaries. Their lives can be a significant encouragement to children as they learn how to devote their lives to God. That said, I wasn’t aware of any resources that can help you teach about the lives of missionaries, until I found Tales of Truth. Tales of Truth has created captivating Powerpoint slides and helpful scripts so that you can tell these Christian missionary stories easily.
Take a look at the description for these resources:
“Tales of Truth provide fantastic resources for anyone wishing to teach children/teens Bible or Christian Hero stories. Their stunning visual aids are created using the latest digital art technology and instantly connect with today’s youth. Their ‘serial’ stories are available to immediately download in PowerPoint, and each resource can last up to 5 sessions! As YOU tell the story, a teaching script is supplied to help you prepare (Printable coloring page also included for activity time). Kids will be captivated and challenged as they learn about these stories!”

- Corrie Ten Boom
- Jim Elliott
- David Livingstone
- Mary Jones
- The Story of Christmas
Here are a few of the things I noticed:
- The graphics are captivating. Very cool stuff. The illustrator, Graeme Hewitson, was a successful commercial artist before leaving that career and turning his attention to producing Christian resources for children and teens.
- The scripts are very easy to use. Each Powerpoint slide has some information for you so that you can continue teaching the story seamlessly. No memorization required.
- You don’t need to be a qualified history teacher to use this. This resource will make it easy for anyone to teach about these missionaries and their ministries.
- These resources are gospel-centered. Any good resource is going to be gospel-centered, but I was glad to see that these resources are very solid in that respect.
